Personal Statement: Being able to participate in FGLSAMP was a great opportunity. It allowed me to<br />

build social connections with my peers that had similar goals and aspirations. This fostered an<br />

atmosphere of encouragement and support. Studying and sharing ideas with individuals with the same<br />

or similar academic goals challenged me to put forth my best effort in order to insure my success.<br />

Personal Statement: My experiences with Drs. Michael Reiter and Alexis Walter-Brooks, gave me the<br />

opportunities to increase my knowledge of the sciences; which ultimately, led me to pursue my Masters<br />

in Environmental Science.<br />

Personal Statement: Currently I am a graduate student at Drexel University studying Molecular<br />

Medicine and I have just been accepted to a Co-op position, at GlaxoSmithKline, as a research tech in<br />

safety assessment and toxicology. It was through the FGLSAMP program that I was exposed to the<br />

opportunities in consider a career in scientific research.<br />

Current Status: 1st year Medical Student<br />

Personal Statement: I am currently into my first year of medical school at Lincoln Memorial<br />

University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am studying to be a physician of undecided<br />

specialty, at this current time.<br />
