Anthony Gutierrez (’08) graduated from<br />
IUPUI in 2008 with a B.S in Mathematics.<br />
Anthony continued his research in<br />
Biomechanics and obtained a M.S in<br />
Biological Engineering in 2010.<br />
Juan Guzman (’14) is a sophomore<br />
majoring in Health Services<br />
Management/Biology at Indiana<br />
University Purdue University<br />
Indianapolis. He participated in the<br />
LSAMP Summer 2011 Research program<br />
and plans to attend graduate school after<br />
graduation.<br />
Dynesha Harris (’12) is a senior studying<br />
Biological Sciences at Purdue University<br />
West Lafayette. She participated in<br />
LSAMP Research in spring and summer<br />
2011. Dynesha is planning on pursuing a<br />
career in either forensics research or<br />
gaining graduate experience in<br />
interdisciplinary science.<br />
Erika Healey (’14) is a sophomore in<br />
Mechanical Engineering Technology at<br />
Purdue University West Lafayette. She<br />
participated in Academic Boot Camp, a<br />
summer bridge program for incoming<br />
freshman funded in part by LSAMP Indiana.<br />
Erika plans to use her degree to research and to develop artificial<br />
joints and organs.<br />
Jenaya Hooks (’14) is a sophomore at<br />
Purdue University West Lafayette with<br />
double majors in Animal Science and<br />
Spanish. Jenaya chose these two majors<br />
because she would like to work as a<br />
veterinarian in wildlife conservation in<br />
Latin and Central America. By learning<br />
Spanish, Jenaya will be able to better relate<br />
to the people and learn how culture changes the value and<br />
perception of wildlife. After graduation, Jenaya plans to attend<br />
Veterinary School or Graduate School and continue to study<br />
foreign languages.<br />
Eta Isiorho (’07) received her B.S. in<br />
Biochemistry from Indiana University<br />
Bloomington in 2007. She participated<br />
extensively in undergraduate research<br />
and in outreach programs designed to<br />
increase minority student representation<br />
in the sciences, including the Louis<br />
Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program, the National<br />
Institutes of Health Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity<br />
Program, the National Organization for the Professional<br />
Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers, and the<br />
Hudson & Holland Scholars Program. Eta is currently studying for<br />
a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin.<br />
Latryce Jenkins (’12) is a senior studying<br />
Industrial Distribution at Purdue University<br />
West Lafayette. Post-graduation, she plans<br />
to pursue a management career.<br />
Cameron Jiles (’07) graduated from IUPUI in<br />
2007 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. He<br />
currently works as a Software Engineer for<br />
Technicolor.<br />
Diamond Johnson (’13) is a junior studying<br />
Genetics at Purdue University West<br />
Lafayette. Post-graduation, she plans on<br />
working in the field of cancer research and<br />
entering a Ph.D. program<br />
Timothy Johnson (’14) is a sophomore at<br />
Purdue University West Lafayette with a<br />
double major in Physics and Chemistry.<br />
Timothy chose to major in both Physics<br />
and Chemistry because he has had an<br />
interest in natural sciences since a very<br />
young age. Post-graduation, Timothy<br />
plans to further his education in a Graduate School.<br />
Morgan Jones (’11) received a B.S. in<br />
Neuroscience from Indiana University<br />
Bloomington in 2011. Morgan is currently a<br />
first year medical student at the University of<br />
Louisville School of Medicine.<br />
Mitchell Keel (’08) matriculated into the Meharry Medical<br />
College in the fall of 2011 to become a<br />
physician. Working in Dr. Foley's lab during<br />
his time at IU helped him gain a valuable set of<br />
contacts and friends that he continues to keep<br />
in touch with, as well as gaining some great<br />
experience in a physiology lab setting.<br />
Mitchell’s work in the Foley lab resulted in the<br />
publication, Identification of markers for<br />
nipple epidermis: changes in expression during pregnancy and<br />
lactation. (Differentiation, 2007). He graduated from IU<br />
Bloomington with a B.S. in Biology in 2008.<br />
Kendria Kelly-Taylor (’14) is a sophomore at Purdue University<br />
West Lafayette pursuing a degree in Movement and Sports<br />
Science. She chose to study this field because she is very interested<br />
in sports medicine. She hopes to either<br />
become an orthopedic doctor for an athlete<br />
team or a medical examiner. After<br />
graduation, she plans to attend Medical<br />
school.<br />
