Dr. Melody Goodman earned a<br />
bachelor's degree in applied mathematics<br />
and statistics and economics from Stony<br />
Brook in 1999. She went on to participate<br />
in the Minority Biomedical Research<br />
Support program at the Harvard School of<br />
Public Health, earning a master's degree<br />
in biostatistics in 2003. During her<br />
graduate studies, Goodman received an<br />
NIH Minority Predoctoral Fellowship from the National<br />
Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She earned<br />
a Ph.D. in biostatistics at Harvard University in 2006 and went<br />
on to become an assistant professor of preventive medicine<br />
and director of the Center for Public Health and Health Policy<br />
