Christina Crawford graduated from Virginia State<br />
University in May of 2011 with a<br />
Bachelor’s of Science degree in<br />
Psychology. She was accepted into the<br />
Master’s of Psychology program at<br />
Virginia State University in August of<br />
2011. As an undergraduate student,<br />
Christina was an LSAMP scholar, she<br />
researched The Effects of Age and Body<br />
Mass on Cardiovascular Reactivity to Stress. Christina has<br />
presented her research at the ERN conference, and the<br />
Virginia Psychological Association Convention.<br />
Joe Allain Dollete earned his B.S. in Manufacturing<br />
Engineering from Virginia State University<br />
in May 2009. He was an LSAMP Scholar<br />
who worked on The Effect of Compacting<br />
Pressure and Sintering Temperature on<br />
Copper Powder Metallurgy. He received<br />
the Educational Advancement Alliance<br />
Graduate School Fellowship in STEM and<br />
went to Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ and<br />
graduated in May 2011 with a Master in Engineering in<br />
Mechanical Engineering with concentration in Manufacturing<br />
Processes. In Fall 2011 he became a faculty at Virginia State<br />
University. in the Department of Technology.<br />
A. Hassan Abraham graduated from Virginia State<br />
University in December 2007 with a<br />
Bachelor’s of Science degree in<br />
Manufacturing Engineering. He was an<br />
LSAMP scholar from 2006-2007. Hassan<br />
continued his graduate studies at VSU and<br />
completed his Master’s in Computer<br />
Science in May 2010. Currently, Hassan<br />
works as System Analyst at Luckstone and as an Adjunct<br />
instructor at VSU in the Computer Science Department.<br />
Terrell Jones graduated from Virginia State University in Fall<br />
2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in<br />
Computer Engineering. He is currently<br />
pursuing his Master’s in Project<br />
Management at Virginia State University.<br />
As an LSAMP scholar, Terrell researched<br />
Stolen Car Recovery Systems. He had the<br />
opportunity to present his research at NSF<br />
supported conferences.<br />
Tashia Brewer graduated from Virginia State University in<br />
May of 2010 with a Bachelor’s of<br />
Science degree in Psychology. Upon<br />
graduation, She entered the Master’s of<br />
Psychology program at Virginia State<br />
University. Tashia was an LSAMP 2010<br />
Summer Research Intern. She was able to<br />
present her research at various<br />
undergraduate research conferences and she also co-authored<br />
two published research reports. In addition, Tashia won first<br />
place for her poster presentation at the 2009 National<br />
Conference supported by NSF.<br />
Brittany Johnson graduated from Virgnia State University in<br />
December 2010 with a Bachelor’s of<br />
Science degree in Computer Science with<br />
a minor in Mathematics. She is currently<br />
pusuing her graduate studies in Computer<br />
Science with Concentration in Computer<br />
Security and Information at VSU. As an<br />
undergraduate, Brittany researched Child<br />
Saver: Cross-Platform Visualization<br />
Display derived from a Collaboration of Databases on<br />
LSAMP 2010 Summer Research Internship.<br />
Latasia Jones was an LSAMP scholar from 2009-2010. She<br />
graduated with a B.S. in Biology in May 2010. Her<br />
undergraduate research has been presented at the annual<br />
meeting of the Virginia Academy of Science and the Plant and<br />
Animal Genome Society. Also as an<br />
undergraduate, Latasia two of her works<br />
published. Ms. Jones is now pursuing her<br />
M.Sc. degree. She spent Summer 2011 in<br />
Ghana and now she is working towards a<br />
career in Tropical Medicine.<br />
Ebony Asburry-Taylor graduated from Virginia State<br />
University in May of 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science<br />
degree in Psychology. She entered the<br />
Master’s of Psychology program at<br />
Virginia State University in the Fall of<br />
2010. As a participant in HBCU-UP<br />
funded research, Ebony presented at two<br />
undergraduate research conferences-the<br />
HBCU-UP National Conference and<br />
the Virginia State University.<br />
