Michelle Hernandez, MSU GS-LSAMP, started as an<br />
undergraduate student at MSU in the fall<br />
of 2006 and graduated with a degree in<br />
Biology in the spring of 2009.Michelle<br />
was admitted to the NYU graduate<br />
program PHD in Environmental<br />
Science.<br />
Emanuel Sunga is an ECC LSAMP scholar who has<br />
participated in two research programs<br />
offered by GS-LSAMP: 2010 summer<br />
program organized by Department the<br />
Earth and Environmental Sciences faculty<br />
of Essex County College. at Rutgers-<br />
Newark, and 2011 program conducted at<br />
Stevens Institute of Technology in<br />
collaboration with Essex County College.<br />
On October 26, 2010 Immanuel Sunga<br />
presented his project at the LSAMP seminar for students.<br />
Irma Luque lopez is an ECC student, LSAMP scholar,<br />
majoring in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. After<br />
graduating with AS degree from Essex<br />
County College Irma plans to transfer<br />
to a four year college or university<br />
where she will continue his education<br />
towards B.S. and then M.S. degree in<br />
engineering . Her goal is to be able to<br />
build a robot which will have the<br />
capacity of cleaning like a human<br />
being. In 2011 Irma participated in the summer program<br />
offered by GS-LSAMP in collaboration with Stevens Institute<br />
of Technology. She was working with an electric circuits<br />
simulation software.<br />
Karam Elmaqrout is an ECC GS-LSAMP student majoring<br />
in Engineering. After graduating with<br />
AS degree from Essex County College<br />
Karam plans to transfer to Rutgers<br />
University New Brunswick where he<br />
will continue his education towards B.S.<br />
and then Ph.D. degree in engineering. In<br />
2011 Karam participated in the summer<br />
program offered by GS-LSAMP in<br />
collaboration with Stevens Institute of<br />
Technology. He was doing experiments in Robotics.<br />
Milton Padron is an ECC student majoring in Civil<br />
Engineering. Milton has 4.0 GPA in all<br />
his math and science classes. He is a<br />
talented and hardworking students. After<br />
graduating with AS degree from Essex<br />
County College Milton plans to transfer<br />
to a four year college or university where<br />
he will continue his education towards<br />
B.S. and then Graduate degree in<br />
engineering.<br />

Jaskaran Singh is an ECC student, GS-LSAMP scholar<br />
majoring in Electrical Engineering.<br />

Asiel A. Benitez graduated Summa Cum Laude from William<br />
Paterson University of New Jersey with a<br />
B.S. in Biotechnology in May 2011. Asiel<br />
received the GS-LSAMP Highest GPA award<br />
for Spring 2010 and Fall 2011 and the GS-<br />
LSAMP Summer 2010 Internship award for<br />
his research.<br />
Christopher Flores is Mathematics major at Kean University.<br />
He recently completed the first Phase of<br />
ALEKS training, a software program<br />
made available by Kean to LSAMP<br />
students to enhance their Math skills. He<br />
is also a Math Tutor at Kean University<br />
and is a member of the McNair Program.<br />
He did Calculus based research this<br />
summer and is continuing it in the Fall of<br />
2011 with the hope that his work is published. Christopher<br />
aspires to attend graduate School once he obtains his<br />
Bachelor's degree.<br />
Fred Clark is a junior majoring in<br />
Electrical Engineering at Fairleigh<br />
Dickinson University. He was<br />
Scholar of the Week in Great Minds<br />
in STEM, an Honors student, and<br />
was the recipient of an REU and a<br />
scholarship.<br />
