Megan Keynton ('13) is anthropology major at<br />

Indiana University with a minor in Spanish and<br />

chemistry on a pre-dental track. She is involved in<br />

Hoosier Dentist, a dental club on campus, and is<br />

the current service coordinator within that club.<br />

Destani Langford (’13) is a junior at<br />

Purdue University pursuing a degree in<br />

Animal Sciences. Destani chose to study<br />

Animal Sciences because she has always<br />

had a passion for animals and becoming a<br />

Veterinarian. After graduation she plans to<br />

apply to Veterinarian school at Purdue<br />

University.<br />

Cherrie Lemon (’12) is a senior at Purdue University West<br />

Lafayette, and is studying Interdisciplinary Chemistry. She<br />

participated in the LSAMP Summer 2011<br />

Research program. In the 125-year history<br />

of the Purdue All-American Marching<br />

Band, Cherrie is the first African-American<br />

to become Drum Major at Purdue<br />

University. Cherrie’s plans post-graduation<br />

are to pursue a career in the United States<br />

Navy and to obtain Masters and Doctorate<br />

degrees in forensic science.<br />

LeAnna Level (’14) is a sophomore at<br />

Indiana University Bloomington majoring in<br />

community health. She is the treasurer of her<br />

Living and Learning Community and is a<br />

LSAMP science peer mentor. After<br />

graduation, she plans to become a health<br />

promotion specialist.<br />

Dekiyra Love (’13) is a junior studying<br />

Professional Flight Technology at Purdue<br />

University West Lafayette. Post-graduation,<br />

Dekiyra intends on either flying or working<br />

in the management field of professional<br />

flight.<br />

Arielle Mabon (’13) is a junior studying Industrial Technology at<br />

Purdue University West Lafayette. She is<br />

participating in the LSAMP Fall 2011<br />

Research program. Post-graduation, Arielle<br />

intends on combining a dual-degree in<br />

Industrial Technology and Management to<br />

enter into a managerial position at a<br />

cosmetics company.<br />

Craig Manarik (’14) is a sophomore at Purdue University West<br />

Lafayette, studying Electrical Engineering.<br />

Post-graduation, Craig would like to pursue a<br />

career in designing hardware or software, and<br />

then obtain a graduate degree in Electrical<br />

Engineering.<br />

Peter Manbu (’14) is currently a sophomore<br />

at IUPUI studying Computer and Information<br />

Technology. Peter plans to eventually obtain<br />

his teaching license to pursue his passion of<br />

working with children.<br />

Manuel Martinez (’07) is working towards his Ph.D. in Anatomy<br />

and Cell Biology from Indiana University-<br />

Purdue University Indianapolis. Manny<br />

graduated from Indiana University<br />

Bloomington in 2007 with a degree in Biology.<br />

While at IU, he served as a peer mentor for<br />

freshmen LSAMP scholars and did extensive<br />

research in numerous laboratories. During the<br />

summer of 2007, Manny joined other scholars<br />

in a study abroad experience in Ghana, Africa.<br />

Nowai- Candice Mathew (’13) is a junior at<br />

Purdue University West Lafayette studying<br />

Computer Graphics Technology. Candice is in<br />

the process of developing her own video game<br />

and plans to attend graduate school once she<br />

obtains her baccalaureate degree.<br />

Adrian Maxwell (’13) is a junior studying<br />

Biology at Indiana University Bloomington.<br />

Post-graduation, he intends to attend graduate<br />

school with a focus in paleontology.<br />

Lucas McCallister (’13) is currently a junior<br />

at Purdue University West Lafayette studying<br />

Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Postgraduation,<br />

Lucas plans to utilize his degree by<br />

working in the automotive industry.<br />

Jade McDonald ('13) is studying biology,<br />

business, and Spanish at IU Bloomington. She is<br />

a Hudson & Holland Scholar and is an active<br />

mentor in both the LSAMP program and Big<br />

Brothers Big Sisters. Upon her graduation, Jade<br />

plans on earning her Master's degree in Business<br />

Administration.<br />

Cameron McGhee (’12) is a senior studying<br />

Electrical and Computer Engineering<br />

Technology at Purdue University West<br />

Lafayette. As an incoming freshman,<br />

Cameron attended Academic Boot Camp,<br />

and in 2009 and 2011, he participated in the<br />

LSAMP Summer Research program.<br />

Cameron is currently serving as a student<br />

researcher, under the tutelage of Dr. Monica Cox, studying the<br />

effectiveness of utilizing Social Media tools for identifying and the<br />

recruitment of minority students at predominately white<br />

institutions. Cameron’s contributions to this research initiative<br />

yielded the largest number of minority student participation in<br />

LSAMP Indiana initiatives since the inception of LSAMP within<br />

the state of Indiana. Post-graduation, Cameron intends to further<br />

his education by attending graduate school.
