Alvin Thompson is 2009 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in<br />

Computer Science. While at Benedict,<br />

Alvin completed a SCAMP Summer<br />

Internship and later served as the<br />

SCAMP Summer Program Co-<br />

Coordinator. He is currently completing<br />

a MS program in Computer Science at<br />

Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.<br />

Lewis Graham is a2002 graduate<br />

of Benedict College with a degree<br />

in Physics. While at Benedict,<br />

Lewis participated in the SCAMP<br />

Summer Bridge program and<br />

was a scholarship recipient. He<br />

completed the MS degree in<br />

Physics at the University of South<br />

Carolina in 2008. He is currently<br />

working on the PhD in Physics at the University of South<br />

Carolina.<br />

Juarez Jackson is a 2004<br />

graduate of Benedict College<br />

with a degree in Computer<br />

Science. While at Benedict he<br />

was a SCAMP Scholarship<br />

recipient. He is currently<br />

employed at Lockheed-Martin as<br />

an Embedded Software engineer<br />

working on the C5 plane<br />

Program.<br />

Kofi Whitney is a 2004 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in<br />

Computer Science. While at<br />

Benedict, Kofi was aSCAMP<br />

Scholarship recipient. He is<br />

pursuing at Ph.D. degree in Human<br />

Computer Interaction at Iowa State<br />

University. In 2008, Whitney, was<br />

the recipient of the Iowa African<br />

American Hall of Fame, "Future is<br />

Now" Award and $1000.00<br />

scholarship. This award is presented to students who display<br />

exemplary leadership skills, dedication to and interest in<br />

science, and excellence in research and technology, which will<br />

make a better society and a brighter future.<br />

Savannah River Site.<br />

Leroy Magwood, is a 2004 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in Physics.<br />

He participated in the SCAMP program<br />

while at Benedict. He earned a Ph.D.<br />

degree in Chemical and Biochemical<br />

Engineering at the University of Iowa and<br />

has done postdoctoral work at Oklahoma<br />

State University.<br />

Clara Jones is a 2008 graduate of Benedict<br />

College with a degree in Biology. While a<br />

Benedict she participated in the MBRS RISE<br />

Student Research program. Clara has a MS in<br />

Biotechnology from Claflin University. She is<br />

currently teaching biology at Benedict College.<br />

William Lenard is a 2003 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in<br />

Mathematics. William is a former SCAMP<br />

scholarship recipient. He currently serves as<br />

assistant principal at Airport High School in<br />

Columbia, SC<br />

Curtis Lane is a 2004 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in<br />

Physics Graduate. Curtis was SCAMP<br />

scholarship recipient while at Benedict.<br />

He completed the MS degree in<br />

Mechanical Engineering at the<br />

University of Wisconsin Madison.<br />

Curtis is currently working at<br />

Celon Blair is a 2004 graduate of<br />

Benedict College with a degree in<br />

Physics. While at Benedict Celon was<br />

a SCAMP scholarship recipient. .He<br />

completed a MS degree in electrical<br />

engineering at North Carolina State<br />

University Celon has work experience<br />

with Intel Co. and as an Etch Process<br />

Engineer with Micron Technology .<br />
