(A) When a process area is determined to be outside of the<br />

organizational unit’s scope of work, the process area is designated<br />

as “not applicable” and is not rated.<br />

(A) When a process area is outside of the appraisal scope, or if<br />

the associated findings do not meet the method’s defined criteria<br />

<strong>for</strong> data coverage, the process area is designated as “not<br />

rated” and is not rated.<br />

4.6.5 The method shall rate the maturity level, if requested by the<br />

appraisal sponsor, in accordance with the following rules:<br />
