1.2 Develop <strong>Appraisal</strong> Plan<br />

Purpose<br />

Entry Criteria<br />

Inputs<br />

Document the results of appraisal planning including the requirements,<br />

agreements, estimates, risks, method tailoring, and practical considerations<br />

(e.g., schedules, logistics, and contextual in<strong>for</strong>mation about the organization)<br />

associated with the appraisal. Obtain and record the sponsor’s approval of the<br />

appraisal plan.<br />

An appraisal sponsor and <strong>SCAMPI</strong> Lead Appraiser have agreed to proceed<br />

with appraisal planning, based on a common understanding of the key<br />

parameters that drive the planning process.<br />

Documented agreement(s), reflected in the appraisal input, that support a<br />

common understanding of appraisal objectives and key appraisal-planning<br />

parameters.<br />

Outcome<br />

Exit Criteria<br />

The sponsor and appraisal team leader agree on technical and non-technical<br />

details <strong>for</strong> the planned appraisal. The plan is refined in conjunction with<br />

per<strong>for</strong>ming the other Planning and Preparation phase activities. This agreement<br />

is documented and reviewed by affected stakeholders as appropriate.<br />

The final appraisal plan is reviewed and approved.<br />
