NOISE MANAGEMENT CHECKLIST<br />

Identify all possible sources of noise from within and outside the property:<br />

✓ Verify national legislation for the maximum limit for noise in the workplace. Noise<br />

limits are usually included in occupational health and safety laws. In most countries<br />

the maximum noise level during an 8-hour working day is 85-90dB.<br />

✓ Do guests complain regularly about noise? Does it come from inside or outside the<br />

property?<br />

✓ Do employees complain about noise, especially those based in and around kitchens,<br />

laundries and maintenance areas?<br />
