Top bracing should only be installed on one side,
either the exhaust side or the manoeuvring side.
If top bracing has to be installed on manoeuvring
side, please contact MAN Diesel.
As the rigidity of the casing structure to which
the top bracing <strong>is</strong> attached <strong>is</strong> most important, it
<strong>is</strong> recommended that the top bracing <strong>is</strong> attached
directly into a deck.
Required rigidity of the casing side
In the axial direction of the hydraulic top bracing:
Force per bracing ......................................... 27 kN
Max. corresponding
deflection of casing side ...........................0.36 mm
In the horizontal and vertical direction of the hydraulic
top bracing:
6,010
Force per bracing ...........................................22 kN
Max. corresponding
