Fire in the scavenge air space can be extingu<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g>hed<br />
by steam, th<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g> being the basic soluti<strong>on</strong>, or, opti<strong>on</strong>ally,<br />
by water m<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g>t or CO 2 .<br />
The external system, pipe and flange c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong>s<br />
are shown in Fig. 4.07.0 and the piping fitted<br />
<strong>on</strong>to the engine in Fig. 4.07.02.<br />
