The starting air pipes, Fig. 3.03.0 , c<strong>on</strong>tain a<br />

main starting valve (a ball valve with actuator), a<br />

n<strong>on</strong>�return valve, a solenoid valve and a starting<br />

valve. The main starting valve <str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>trolled by the<br />

Engine C<strong>on</strong>trol System. Slow turning before start<br />

of engine (4 50 40) <str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g> included in the basic design.<br />

The Engine C<strong>on</strong>trol System regulates the supply<br />

of c<strong>on</strong>trol air to the starting valves in accordance<br />

with the correct firing sequence and the timing.<br />

Please note that the air c<strong>on</strong>sumpti<strong>on</strong> for c<strong>on</strong>trol<br />

air, turbocharger cleaning and for fuel valve testing<br />

unit are momentary requirements of the c<strong>on</strong>sumers.<br />
