Exhaust Valve Air Spring Pipes
The exhaust valve <strong>is</strong> opened hydraulically by the
Fuel Injection Valve Actuator (FIVA) system which
<strong>is</strong> activated by the Engine Control System, and
the closing force <strong>is</strong> provided by an ‘air spring’
which leaves the valve spindle free to rotate.
