Differences between MC/MC-C and<br />
ME/ME-C engines<br />
The electro�hydraulic c<strong>on</strong>trol mechan<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g>ms of the<br />
ME engine replace the following comp<strong>on</strong>ents of<br />
the c<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>al MC engine:<br />
• Chain drive for camshaft<br />
• Camshaft with fuel cams, exhaust cams and<br />
indicator cams<br />
• Fuel pump actuating gear, including roller<br />
guides and reversing mechan<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g>m<br />
• C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>al fuel pressure booster and VIT system<br />
• Exhaust valve actuating gear and roller guides<br />
• Engine driven starting air d<str<strong>on</strong>g>is</str<strong>on</strong>g>tributor<br />
• Electr<strong>on</strong>ic governor with actuator<br />
• Regulating shaft<br />
• Engine side c<strong>on</strong>trol c<strong>on</strong>sole<br />
• Mechanical cylinder lubricators.<br />
