Subject:— Hindi Training being given to Central Govt. employees to be completed by end of the year 2005.
All Ministries/Departments were directed on the above subject vide Department of Official Language O.M. No.
14034/4/99-OL(Trg), dated 13.2.2001 that training of Hindi Language, Hindi Typing & Hindi Stenography to the employees
of offices of all regions i.e., located in 'A', 'B' and 'C' regions may be completed by the end of the year 2005. In this
connection, I am directed to say that action taken in this regard may be intimated to this Department and it may also be
informed about the steps taken by your Ministry/Department to train the remaining employees by end of the year 2005, and
if the training is not completed by what time it is expected to be completed.
2. In this connection, it is also mentioned that as per the above resolution the time limit of the training in Hindi
language, Hindi Typing and Hindi Stenography to employees of offices located in region 'A', 'B' and 'C' is ending by this
year 2005. And if the number of the remaining employees to be trained in Hindi language, Hindi typing and Hindi Stenography
is still too much, the decision considering the final time limit of the year 2005 will be taken in due time.
3. Before taking final decision in this regard all Ministries/Departments are requested that the requisite information
mentioned in para-I, may be furnished to this Department within one month from the date of issue of this O.M. at priority so
that further action may be initiated.
