ANEKS 9ANNEX 9PEMBUATANRADIOFARMAKAMANUFACTURE OFRADIOPHARMACEUTICALSRUANG LINGKUP1. The regulatory procedures necessary tocontrol radiopharmaceutical productsare in large part determined by thesources of these products and themethods of manufacture. Manufacturingprocedures within the scope of theseGuideline include:a) The preparation ofradiopharmaceuticals in hospitalradiopharmacies;b) The preparation ofradiopharmaceuticals in centralizedradiopharmacies;c) The production ofradiopharmaceuticals in nuclearcentres and institutes or byindustrial manufacturers; andd) The preparation and production ofradiopharmaceuticals in positronemission tomography (PET)centres.2. Radiopharmaceuticals can be classifiedinto four categories:a) Ready-for-use radioactive products;b) Radionuclide generators;c) Non-radioactive components (“kits”)for the preparation of labelledcompounds with a radioactivecomponent (usually the eluate froma radionuclide generator); andd) Precursors used for radiolabellingother substances beforeadministration (e.g. samples frompatients).3. Radiopharmaceutical products includeinorganic compounds, organiccompounds, peptides, proteins, monoclonal antibodies and fragments, and oligonucleotides labelled withradionuclides with half-lives from a fewseconds to several days.Edisi 2009 - 49 - 2009 Edition
