Setting Up LAN AuthorizersClick here for instructions to add Web AuthorizersClick here for instructions to add modem AuthorizersTo add a network Authorizer to the system, follow these steps:1. Set the Authorizer IP - The LAN Authorizer must be programmed with an IP address reachable via a LAN orWAN. A reset Authorizer has an IP address of 192.168.192.192. Enter '999' press the '#' key. The '*' and '#'keys on an Authorizer keyport function like the "Backspace" and "Enter" keys of a keyboard, respectively.When the IP configuration mode has been activated, the keyport display will change to "X--- 192". Note: if thekeyport of a reset LAN Authorizer does not display "X--- 192" after '999' has been entered, the LANAuthorizer's firmware will need to be updated before an IP address can be set manually.2. The letter 'X' indicates the octet of the IP addressbeing edited. The number 192 indicates thepresent value of the octet. To replace the value,enter a new one and press the '#' key. To keep thecurrent value and move on to the next octet in theIP address, enter a 3-digit number greater than255 and press the '#' key. After all 4 octets havebeen set, cycle through the IP address again (byentering a number greater than 255 for each) toverify that each was set correctly. The examplebelow shows the keyport displaying that the IP hasbeen set to 192.168.121.234.
