CyberKey Cleaning InstructionsVisually inspect inside the key tip for foreignmaterial like lint or dirt. If present, use atoothpick or other small tool to remove thematerial. The key tip metal housing can beremoved to better expose the contact pins.Clean the contact pins using the stainless steelbrush (part number BRUSH). If the tip isremoved, make sure to reinstall the insulator andtighten the screw. DO NOT overtighten.Warning: Do not use cleaners or other liquidswhen cleaning a CyberKey.Clean pins with brush.If these procedures fail to provide satisfactoryresults, please contact your CyberLock vendor.CyberLock CleaningClean pins.

Let them inserttheir key in a CyberPoint.Insert key straight into theCyberPoint, not at an angle.Do not twist or turn the key whilethe key is inside the CyberPoint.Wait until the key beeps threetimes. This means that the transferof information is completedbetween the CyberPoint and key.For good electrical contact, it mayoccasionally be necessary toclean contaminants from the tip ofthe key and the face of theCyberPoint. <strong>Videx</strong> provides astainless steel bristle brush thatworks well for doing this; pleasecontact <strong>Videx</strong> for details.After touching a CyberPoint, thekey may emit a low batterywarning. This is a beep thatsounds once every eight secondsfor one minute. This warningmeans the battery should bereplaced.
