Portable Link A remote communication device with IrDA port used for downloading and updatingCyberKeys and CyberLock Programmers. Both Pocket PC based PDAs and PCs may beconsidered as Portable Links.Issue Number An issue number is a unique, 8-digit number generated by the system that acts asa temporary placeholder for some item. Items that can be represented by issue numbers includeCyberKeys and Portable Links. CyberKey issue numbers are linked to a key holders record. Whenthe key holder places a CyberKey not already in the system into or in front of a communicator,CyberAudit-Web prompts to enter an issue number. When the number has been correctly entered,the CyberKey will be programmed according to the settings associated with the issue number. Thekey serial number will take the place of the issue number in the system.Journal of Changes Whenever a CyberAudit-Web administrator makes changes toCyberAudit-Web, it is logged in the system. A journal is available to view either overall or filteredrecords among several categories. It includes what was changed, who changed it, and when thechange was made.Key Types, Software User Key, Master key, Reset Key, Lost Key. See individual entries.Physically, these are all standard CyberKeys.Programmer Job Programmer Jobs are a way by which CyberLocks can be configured,downloaded or reset by CyberAudit-Web. Each job is designated by a Job number which is usedto identify it to a CyberKey Authorizer or Portable Link. Any Programmer can be assigned anyProgramming Job. Since CyberAudit-Web is designed to handle a large number of locks it may beuseful to divide up these tasks and delegate them to others, who can deal with locks in smallerbatches.Schedule, Standard A set of Access times and rules. It includes up to 7 access times. It is themost commonly used type of schedule.Schedule, CyberPoint This type of schedule will not open locks. Instead, the key treats the locklike a CyberPoint. It is commonly used for guard tours.Start Date and Stop Date, Key The key will work only between these dates regardless of whatother settings exist in schedules or temporary access.Time Frame A definable time range having start and stop times and selectable days of the weekplus holidays. Time frames are part of a Schedule.
