Key Records in AuthorizersAll Authorizers may optionally store key records in their memory. This allows the Authorizer toprogram the CyberKey with its set of expiration and access permissions regardless of whetherCyberAudit-Web is available on the network. These "cached" records enable the Authorizer toprogram the key very quickly.If a key record is not stored locally, the Authorizer will contact CyberAudit-Web for instructionswhen a CyberKey is inserted into the Authorizer's keyport. With network connections,Authorizers can normally contact CyberAudit-Web quickly and program the key in a fewseconds. For Remote Modem LAN Authorizers, however, the process of dialing the modemand communicating with CyberAudit-Web will take noticably longer. In these cases, it is betterto "pre-load" the key records in the Authorizer so the key holder does not experience the longwait times.A memory calculator at the bottom of the page computes and displays the percent of LANAuthorizer memory.
