Miscellaneous Notes about Single CyberKey VaultsHow to release the door latch on a Vault. The vault will release the latch on the door under these circumstances:1. The latch will always release for 5 to 10 seconds after powering up.2. When the unit is new, it will open from successfully scanning any RFID access card.3. When the unit goes online and connects to CyberAudit-Web over the network,CyberAudit-Web sets the unit in secure mode. In that mode, the Vault will only openwhen CyberAudit-Web sends it an instruction to open based on these rules:A valid CyberKey is present in the vault - Only cards authorized for the vaultand are entitled to check out the mission will get access. For example a cardwith a mission may not get access if the card holder already has anothermission checked out and would violate the rule of 'one mission at a time' insubsystem preferences. An invalid CyberKey is present in the vault or no CyberKey is present in thevault - The cabinet will open to any card that is in the CyberAudit-Webdatabase.If an invalid card is presented, CyberAudit-Web will ensure that the key has been disabledand will instruct the Vault to emit a single low tone card denied beep ahead of thelow-high-low key key disabled tone set.CyberAudit-Web handles each card swipe as a separate transaction and completelyprocesses one swipe before the next card swipe is processed. Card swipes are ignoredwhile CyberAudit-Web is processing the Vault's CyberKey.The Vault operates in either USB mode or Network mode. USB mode is only for setting upthe Vault and using the Vault with CyberLink as a scanner for RFID Access Cards. Whenboth power and USB are connected the Vault operates in USB mode. Power and Ethernetmust be connected without USB to enable full Vault functionality. The Vault may be powered using Power Over Ethernet (POE).
