Fire Impact Fees-Zone 4 (Northwest) Fund - 154Fire Impact Fees-Zone 4 (Northwest) Fund - 154Summary: The Fire/Rescue Impact Fees were established by ordinance in 1989, and are incorporated in Chapter 70,Article II of the Volusia County Code. The impact fee revenues are collected by zone to pay for capitalimprovement needs related to growth. The impact fees apply to both residential and commercialproperties. Impact fees are used to fund specific improvements in facilities or capital equipment. The feeis adjusted annually based on annual percentage changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The indexchange for the 12 months ending December 31 of the previous year is used to make adjustments effectiveMay 1 of each year. The impact fee is subject to review by the County Council at least every six (6) years.Revenues not expended in any fiscal year are carried forward to the next fiscal year. Fees are consideredexpended in the order in which they are collected. $380,000 is budgeted in FY 2010-11 for an addition atStation 46 (Glenwood).
