In 2009, the Legal region-wideindicated a 93% satisfaction rate with the provision of legal services, and over 80% of clients surveyed said that legal assistance throughthe Helpline them resolve their legal issue.CLSMF's Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) provides free legal assistance to clients by referring cases to volunteer attorneys. In 2009, atotal of 430 cases from Volusia County were referred. In addition, the VLP in 2009 instituted a weekly foreclosure/bankruptcy legaladvice clinic in the Daytona Beach office in response to the increasing numbers of foreclosure clients from Daytona Beach/OrmondBeach/Deltona. This clinic is in addition to CLSMF's general legal advice clinics that are offered weekly in Daytona Beach and twice amonth in DeLand.CLSMF has also responded to the foreclosure crisis by re-allocating staff, resulting in a unit of seven attorneys (5.25 FTEs) with expertise tohandle complex mortgage foreclosure cases.
