These monies shall be deposited into a driver and traffic safety education account to be usedfor enhancement of driver and traffic safety education programs in public and nonpublic schools within the <strong>County</strong>. These funds maynot be used to offset existing funding sources or for administration costs. Grant recipients shall be selected through proceduresdeveloped by the <strong>County</strong> Manager and approved by the <strong>County</strong> Council. Ordinance No. 2006-20 established a driver and traffic safetyeducation program funded through collection of $5.00 for each civil traffic fine or penalty. The carry forward revenue for this programamounts to $855,879, plus anticipated revenue of $325,000. Funding for this program will be presented before <strong>County</strong> Council througha separate agenda during <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2010</strong>-<strong>11</strong>.<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Section F - 87
