These monies shall be deposited into a driver and traffic safety education account to be usedfor enhancement of driver and traffic safety education programs in public and nonpublic schools within the County. These funds maynot be used to offset existing funding sources or for administration costs. Grant recipients shall be selected through proceduresdeveloped by the County Manager and approved by the County Council. Ordinance No. 2006-20 established a driver and traffic safetyeducation program funded through collection of $5.00 for each civil traffic fine or penalty. The carry forward revenue for this programamounts to $855,879, plus anticipated revenue of $325,000. Funding for this program will be presented before County Council througha separate agenda during FY 2010-11.Volusia County Section F - 87
