Number of department employees supported 131.00 125.00 123.00HighlightsGrowth and Resource Management Administration provides overall management of four divisions: Building, Zoning and CodeAdministration, Environmental Management, Land Acquisition and Management, Planning and Development Services. It alsoadministers the Environmental, Cultural, Historic/Heritage and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Program and Graphics activity.Administration is also responsible for the AMANDA software system, which is used to integrate all permitting and land developmentfunctions. The system provides licensing functionality for Comprehensive Planning, Building, Permitting, Code Enforcement,Development Engineering, Land Development, and Contractor Licensing. The next generation of the AMANDA based system willprovide web-based functionality and improved customer service. To accomplish this, an Administrative Coordinator I position fromLand Development was placed under this Division. The Division also embarked on a program to streamline the building, zoning andland development process with the goal to reduce permit review time in half. To accomplish this the Permit Processing Manager fromBuilding & Zoning was brought under this Division in <strong>FY</strong> 2009-10 to lead this effort.<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Section F - 185
