Telecommunicators receive calls, receive and dispatch radio transmissions and teletypes 24/7.The Sheriff's Office contracts with EVAC, Votran, and nine cities for dispatch services: South Daytona (police dispatch), Lake Helen (policedispatch), Orange City (police dispatch), Oak Hill (police dispatch), Daytona Beach (police and fire dispatch), Daytona Beach Shores(police dispatch), DeLand (police and fire dispatch), Ormond Beach (police and fire dispatch), and Holly Hill (police and fire dispatch).The <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2010</strong>-<strong>11</strong> budget includes five unfunded positions and one position was transferred to the transition organization due toretirement and the position will not be funded once it has been vacated.<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Section F - 272
