Replanting along <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> scenic roadways 0.00 4.00 4.00HighlightsAt the direction of <strong>County</strong> Council, environmental permitting staff and legal staff worked with the development community to revise the<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Tree Preservation Ordinance. In 2002, Council passed Ordinance 2002-13, which provides for payment of a replacementcontribution into the <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Tree Replacement Trust Account if on-site tree replacement is not feasible (Section 1012(10)).Section 1016(3) establishes the trust account that will be "maintained apart from the general revenue funds and accounts of <strong>Volusia</strong><strong>County</strong>". Section 1016(2) states that "funds in said account shall be expended for the planting of trees, and to cover any other ancillarycosts for the preservation maintenance, relocation or restoration of tree ecosystems on any public land within <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong>". ThisActivity offers grants to public agencies throughout the <strong>County</strong> that wish to showcase native vegetation and promote water wiselandscaping.Projected revenue for <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2010</strong>-<strong>11</strong> is $18,000 with an additional $268,725 in fund balance.<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Section F - 165
