But even with the awareness that it was a one-off activity, we can show<br />

respect to the attempt of our forebears to clarify the situation in at that<br />

time the most used carrier of advertising – newspapers and periodicals.<br />

In their effort to make advertising activities more effective, apply to<br />

practice the really scientiic indings of market research, research the<br />

effectiveness of advertising which was systematically presented in<br />

his work from 1927 by Jan Brabec, the Reklamní klub československý<br />

followed the right direction. And this is proven by the next decade of<br />

their organizing, research, educational work in the ield of advertising,<br />

in creating a positive relationship of the public to advertising as an<br />

information source not only in the area of commercial and business<br />

activities but also in the sphere of social marketing and the State publicity<br />

and promotion. We are speaking not only about the period between the<br />

wars but also about that of 1945-1948 which still awaits its objective and<br />

fair analysis and assessment.<br />
