APPENDIX A SYSTEM OVERVIEW System Annunciation Comment System Annunciation Comment FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS Attitude and Heading Reference System is aligning. Display system is not receiving vertical speed input from the air data computer. EIS Display system is not receiving attitude information from the AHRS. System is not receiving valid heading input from GMU, but is receiving GPS-derived track information. AUDIO PANEL & CNS AHRS calibration incomplete or configuration module failure. System is not receiving valid heading input from GMU and is not receiving GPS-derived track information. FLIGHT MANAGEMENT HAZARD AVOIDANCE AFCS ADDITIONAL FEATURES APPENDICES INDEX This annunciation is seen only when the autopilot is engaged. The annunciation indicates an AHRS monitor has detected an abnormal flight parameter, possibly caused by strong turbulence. In this case, the situation should correct itself within a few seconds. If there is an actual failure, a red “X” soon appears over the Attitude Indicator. GPS information is either not present or is invalid for navigation use. Note that AHRS utilizes GPS inputs during normal operation. AHRS operation may be degraded if GPS signals are not present (see POH). CDI is not receiving valid data from the corresponding GIA. Does not apply when the CDI is set to GPS. Display system is not receiving airspeed input from air data computer. Other Various Red X Indications Display system is not receiving altitude input from the air data computer. Display system is not receiving valid true airspeed information from air data computer. Display system is not receiving valid OAT information from air data computer. Display system is not receiving valid transponder information. Different versions of GDU software are installed in the PFD and MFD. This can also indicate different versions of the navigation database installed in the PFD and MFD. A cross-talk error between the PFD and MFD will also cause this annunciation. APPENDIX A SYSTEM MESSAGE ADVISORIES NOTE: This section provides information regarding Perspective message advisories that may be displayed by the system. Knowledge of the aircraft, systems, flight conditions, and other existing operational priorities must be considered when responding to a message. This section describes various Perspective System message advisories. Certain messages are issued due to an LRU or LRU function fault. Such messages are normally accompanied by a corresponding red ‘X’ annunciation as shown previously in the Perspective System Annunciations section. SYSTEM OVERVIEW FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS Message ABORT APR – Loss of GPS navigation. Abort approach. ADC1 ALT EC – ADC1 altitude error correction is unavailable. ADC2 ALT EC – ADC2 altitude error correction is unavailable. ADC1 AS EC – ADC1 airspeed error correction is unavailable. ADC2 AS EC – ADC2 airspeed error correction is unavailable. AHRS1 TAS – AHRS1 not receiving valid airspeed. AHRS2 TAS – AHRS2 not receiving valid airspeed. AHRS1 GPS – AHRS1 using backup GPS source. AHRS2 GPS – AHRS2 using backup GPS source. AHRS1 GPS – AHRS1 not receiving any GPS information. AHRS2 GPS – AHRS2 not receiving any GPS information. AHRS1 GPS – AHRS1 not receiving backup GPS information. AHRS2 GPS – AHRS2 not receiving backup GPS information. AHRS1 GPS – AHRS1 operating exclusively in no-GPS mode. AHRS2 GPS – AHRS2 operating exclusively in no-GPS mode. AHRS MAG DB – AHRS magnetic model database version mismatch. Comments Abort approach due to loss of GPS navigation. GDC1 or GDC2 is reporting that the altitude error correction is unavailable. GDC1 or GDC2 is reporting that the airspeed error correction is unavailable. The #1 AHRS is not receiving true airspeed from the air data computer.
