microshoots are given a slow dip in 250 ppm <strong>of</strong> either NAA or IAA <strong>for</strong> 48 h in dark<br />

<strong>and</strong> potting the treated shoots in mixture <strong>of</strong> soil rite <strong>and</strong> s<strong>and</strong> (2:1 v/v). The duration<br />

<strong>of</strong> rooting is longer (3–4 months) in the latter method. Spontaneous rooting up to<br />

30% is also observed on shoots cultured on medium <strong>for</strong> elongation.<br />
