STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP STYLES INSTRUMENT
Gaylord Reagan
Instructions: Within each of the five groups of statements (Group A through Group E),
read all eight statements; then write the number “8” in the space preceding the statement
that most accurately describes you, your behavior, or your beliefs with regard to your
organization. Next write the number “1” in the space preceding the statement that least
accurately describes you or your behavior or beliefs. Finally, use the numbers “2”
through “7” to indicate the best intermediate rankings for the remaining statements.
Then proceed to the next group and repeat the process. Rank all statements (leave none
blank), and use each ranking number only once within each group of statements.
