Although some studies have suggested that the trade in rattan in Cameroon is growing (Defo, 1997), very little evidence is provided in this regard. During the interview process, the artisans sampled were requested to provide information regarding the growth or decline in their own consumption of rattan. Regarding this growth or decline, if they responded in the positive or the negative they were also asked to provide reasons why, in their experience, this is the case. Figure 112.
