COURSE DESCRIPTIONS<br />

BIOL V01 - PRINCIPLES OF BIOLOGY - 3 Units<br />

Hours: 3 lecture weekly<br />

The course provides an introduction to the basic principles <strong>of</strong><br />

biology and covers the biochemistry, physiology, morphology,<br />

behavior, genetics, evolution, taxonomy, and ecology <strong>of</strong> living things.<br />

The companion laboratory course provides hands-on activities to<br />

illustrate these principles.<br />

Field trips may be required. Formerly Biol 1. Transfer credit: CSU;<br />

UC; credit limitations - see counselor.<br />
