MR. GLAVIS: Yes.
MS. GOSHOW: This is a question I have for
you. Does water-cooled require more energy than
air-cooled or are they both, do they require both
about the same amount of energy?
MR. GLAVIS: We went to the different
manufacturers and we were looking at this for the
last five years very intently. As long as you put
the total equation together and you start looking at
the piping and you start looking at the cost of
running these things for X number of years, the
ancillary equipment for water cooled is more
expensive. It's also more expensive if you add up
all the first costs.
So, then I started looking at sizes.
Industry finally acknowledged that anything under
let's say 400 tons, 500 tons, depending on which
manufacturer you are talking to, air-cooled is best.
Air-cooled is more efficient. That doesn't include
the cost of water.
MS. GOSHOW: Right.
MR. GLAVIS: And of course, as soon as I
put the cost of water in, I'm finding out that some
of these major manufacturers right around here are
going air-cooled because the cost of water is
