POLICE STUDIES MINOR (Department of Law, Police<br />

Science and <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Justice</strong> Administration)<br />

Description. The minor in Police Studies is designed for<br />

students with professional interests in law enforcement and policing.<br />

The minor is also appropriate for students who plan to attend<br />

graduate or professional school.<br />

Requirements: To receive a minor in Police Studies students must<br />

complete 18 credits in police science courses (courses with the PSC<br />

prefix).<br />

POLITICAL SCIENCE MINOR<br />

Description. Earning a Political Science minor for students who<br />

have majored in <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Justice</strong>, International <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Justice</strong>, or<br />

Legal Studies demonstrates to graduate and professional schools<br />

and/or potential employers that students have also had substantial<br />

exposure to the discipline of political science in their undergraduate<br />

studies.<br />

Requirements: The Political Science minor consists of POL 101 or<br />

GOV 101 and any 15 additional credits of political science courses<br />

(GOV or POL).<br />

Humanities and <strong>Justice</strong> Studies 250 <strong>Justice</strong> in the Western Traditions<br />

Note: Credit toward the minor may be given for courses taken<br />

elsewhere at the <strong>College</strong> if they include substantial philosophical<br />

PSYCHOLOGY MINOR<br />

Description. The Psychology minor provides students with the<br />

opportunity to think and write critically about the mind and human<br />

behavior, and to gain some exposure to the field of forensic<br />

psychology. Students are introduced to basic psychological theory<br />

and research as well as several core areas in the discipline of<br />
