9 FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid is available to matriculated students in
the form of grants, loans and part-time student
employment (Federal Work Study). Grants provide
funds that do not have to be repaid. Loans must be
repaid in regular installments over a prescribed
period of time. Scholarships are funds granted
based on academic excellence. Federal Work
Study consists of part-time employment, either on
campus or for an outside agency, contracted
through the City University of New York.
