Academic Resources<br />

Consultants are available to provide technical assistance and answer<br />

user questions.<br />

ITSS also supports the <strong>College</strong> e-training program, course and<br />

departmental web pages, and is a leader in piloting new technologies<br />

for campus use. Hands-on workshops in software applications,<br />

World Wide Web technology, and computer maintenance are held<br />

each semester for faculty, staff and students. A current workshop<br />

schedule may be found on the <strong>College</strong> website under "Instructional<br />

Technology Support Services."<br />

ITSS is the site license coordinator for <strong>CUNY</strong>-purchased, universitywide<br />

software licenses. All site-licensed software is for on-campus<br />

use by faculty, staff and registered students.<br />

In addition, ITSS houses the Cisco Local Academy and the Microsoft<br />

IT Academy, which provide continuing education programs in<br />

computing, networking, security and wireless technologies.<br />

Instructional Technology Support Services is open day and evening<br />

hours Monday through Thursday and during the day on Friday and<br />

Saturday.<br />

Center (TSPCC)<br />

The <strong>Of</strong>fice of Admissions provides transfer credit evaluations for<br />

new transfer students. Prior to registering new students receive an<br />

invitation to attend advisement and registration session. Students may<br />

call to speak with an admissions representative.<br />

The Counseling Department also helps transfer students access the<br />

resources and opportunities at the <strong>College</strong>. This department provides<br />

orientation support; personal, academic, and career development<br />

workshops; peer mentors advisement; and referral services. Students<br />

are encouraged to call the TSPCC or the Counseling Department for<br />

assistance.<br />

For SEEK Students<br />

Students accepted to the SEEK Program either as freshmen or<br />

transfer students are assigned to a SEEK counselor in their first<br />

semester. All students in the SEEK Program may schedule<br />

counseling appointments with the SEEK Department.<br />

Students are encouraged to consult regularly with members of the<br />

faculty regarding course and program requirements, academic<br />

progress, and plans for study in graduate and professional schools. In<br />

addition, the <strong>College</strong> provides the following advisement services.<br />
