Internet-based class and as a classroom-based class.
FIS 104 Risk Management
3 hours, 3 credits
A study of fire insurance and risk, with the consideration of the
background of the fire problem, insurance and financial institutions,
development of rates, underwriting, grading schedules, the FAIR plan
Prerequisites: ENG 101, and FIS 101 or permission of the section
instructor
FIS 205 Fire Service Hydraulics
3 hours, 3 credits
A course in hydraulic principles systems. Applications are related to
fire protection systems such as sprinklers, standpipes, hoses, nozzles,
pumpers and water supply systems. Demonstrations illustrate and
supplement the principles developed in class.
Prerequisites: ENG 101 and FIS 101
FIS 207 Water-Based Fire Suppression Systems
