5 – Repository ModulesFigure 5.1.16B cell airlock5.1.3.3 Description <strong>of</strong> the access driftThe cell access drift is the area where the cell is to be sealed. Accordingly, the design <strong>of</strong> this drift isvery similar to that <strong>of</strong> a drift section to be sealed such as that described in Chapter 7 (section on“Closure <strong>of</strong> Underground Installations”). The only special feature <strong>of</strong> the access drift lies in adaptingits useful diameter to the size <strong>of</strong> the packages to be disposed <strong>of</strong>.
