OHM RemediationServices Corp. HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN6.2 EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATIONAll contaminated equipment will be decontaminated before leaving the site. Decontaminationprocedures will vary depending upon the contaminant involved, but may include sweeping,wiping, scraping, hosing, or steaming the exterior of the equipment. Personnel performingthis task will wear the proper PPE as prescribed by the SSO.Trucks being directly loaded at the excavation area will be placed on polyethylene (PE)sheeting and draped along the truck sides when loading. Truck tires and wheels will bescraped of any visual contamination and inspected before tar-ping and leaving the site. Thetrackhoe will not enter the excavation area and the bucket will be decontaminated using highpressure washing and manual removal methods between excavations and at projectdemobilization.6.3 DISPOSALAll decontamination liquids and disposable clothing will be collected, containerized and treatedas contaminated waste, unless determined otherwise by accepted testing methods.
