Table 8.1 provides telephone numbers <strong>for</strong> emergency assistance.lDirect on-<strong>site</strong> personnel to control the incident until, if necessary, outside help arrives.lEnsure that the building or area where the incident occurred <strong>and</strong> the surrounding areaare evacuated <strong>and</strong> shut off possible ignition sources, if appropriate. The EmergencyResponse Team is responsible <strong>for</strong> directing <strong>site</strong> personnel such that they avoid the areaof the incident <strong>and</strong> leave emergency control procedures unobstructed..
