WORK PLANBased on the materials identified that will require off-<strong>site</strong> disposal, the T&D Coordinator, inconsultation with the project management <strong>and</strong> procurement personnel, has reviewed potentialvendors to prequalify transportation <strong>and</strong> disposal vendors based on:lllllNotice of Violation (NOV) statusAbility to h<strong>and</strong>le the wastes identifiedCost effectiveness of the available transportation <strong>and</strong> disposal optionsPast experienceSB <strong>and</strong> SDB contract goalsAt this time OHM has identified the following qualified vendors to provide transportation <strong>and</strong>disposal of wastes from this <strong>site</strong>:DisposalTransportationl Cherokee Environmental Group l Hilco Transport, Inc. (SB, WBE)San<strong>for</strong>d, NCWilmington, NCl Soil Reclaiming (Lee Brick) l TerraFirstSan<strong>for</strong>d, NCSt. George, SCl Terradyne l Wills Trucking, Inc.Fayetteville, NCColumbia, SCl Cunningham Brick l Robbie D. WoodsThomasville, NCDemopolis, ALAll bids will be obtained based on a written solicitation <strong>and</strong> all bid responses will be in writing.All bids will be made in conjunction with OHM’s procurement department. A condition ofOHM’s purchase order will be that the selected vendors must provide OHM with addresses,the name of a single point of contact, EPA ID numbers, permit verification, insuranceverification, NOV status, <strong>and</strong> any other qualifying data necessary. OHM has determined thatthe transportation portion of the T&D <strong>work</strong> is well suited as a task that can be per<strong>for</strong>med by asmall business or small disadvantaged business.6.4.3 Waste PackagingSoil will be stored into approximately 200-cubic yard stockpiles, lined <strong>and</strong> covered withpolyethylene sheeting to prevent precipitation from saturating <strong>soil</strong>s <strong>and</strong> cross-contamination.All temporary storage will be in compliance with 40 CFR 262.34 <strong>and</strong> the applicable NorthCarolina regulations.Any drummed waste (if required) will be collected in %-gallon (17-H open-top) steel drums.These drums will be labeled <strong>and</strong> logged using OHM’s st<strong>and</strong>ard drum inventory procedures(see attached Drum Inventory Log <strong>and</strong> Drum Labeling Instruction) OHM will maintain theseOHM Project 16487WP <strong>work</strong> Plan May 1995In<strong>for</strong>mation herein is proprietary <strong>and</strong> confidential <strong>and</strong> to be u.& or released to otien only with explicit wriftm permission of OHhI Rcmediatioa ServicesCOIQ.6-5
