OHM RemediationServices Corp. WORK PLAN10. After site is stabilized and permanent vegetation has been established, all erosion andsediment control structures may be removed.5.1.3 Maintenance Plan1. All erosion and’sediment control practices will be checked by OHM personnel forstability and operation following every run-off producing rainfall but in no case lessthan once every week. Any needed repairs will be made immediately to maintain allpractices as designed.2. Sediment will be removed from behind sediment fence when it becomes greater than1 foot deep at the fence. The sediment fence will be repaired as necessary to maintain abarrier.3. All seeded areas will be fertilized, reseeded as necessary, mulched and mowedaccording to specifications to maintain a vigorous, dense vegetation cover.4.5.Inspect check dams and channels for damage after run-off event.Anticipate submergence and deposition above the check dam and erosion from highflows around the edges of the dam. Correct all damage immediately. If significanterosion occurs between dams, install a protective riprap liner in that portion of thechannel.6. Remove sediment accumulated behind the dams as needed to prevent damage to channelvegetation, allow the channel to drain through the stone check dam, and prevent largeflows from carrying sediment over the dam. Add stones to darns as needed to maintaindesign height and cross section. Gravel will be cleaned or replaced when the checkdam no longer drains properly.5.2 STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLANThe primary objective of the Stormwater Management Plan is to prevent the free anduncontrolled flow of water across the Exclusion Zone and contaminated stockpiles.Diversions and controls will prevent clean water from becoming contaminated and incurringadditional cost and effort to dispose (Figure 4). Clean water can be discharged to ditches. The secondary objective of the management is to identify what will be done with rainwater thatenters the excavation. The excavation will be controlled to prevent the flow of stormwater runoff from adjacent areasinto the excavation. This will be accomplished by the placement of berms and/or trenchesaround the perimeter of the excavation and stockpiles that will divert surface flows off site andOHM Project 16487WPInformation herein is proprietary and confidentialwork Planand to bc used or rclused to others only with explicit written permission of OHMMay 199sRemediation SewicuCOrp.5-5
