PrefaceIn 2005, as we approached the twentieth anniversary of Von Wobesery Sierra, S.C., we decided to offer our clients and friends—as well asother groups and individuals seeking precise and reliable informationon Mexican law—a series of texts that would synthesize and explainthe most important aspects of the Mexican legal framework.The objective we set was to provide companies and businesspeople,both national and foreign, especially those whom we have had theprivilege of assisting with their legal matters, a relatively compact workto which they could turn to clarify doubts or to learn what the lawestablishes with respect to certain points of interest to them.
