161Chapter 6 – Scope of Practice of Medical Radiation Technology(2) It is a term, condition <strong>and</strong> limitation of a certificate ofregistration of any class that the holder who performs aprocedure under the authority of paragraph 3 of section 4 of theAct must ensure the procedure is performed in accordance withany st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice established <strong>and</strong> published by theCollege from time to time.6. That Ontario Regulation 866/93 under the Medical Radiation TechnologyAct, 1991 be amended by adding the following:STANDARDS OF PRACTICE7.2. The College shall develop, establish <strong>and</strong> maintain st<strong>and</strong>ards ofpractice for those procedures performed under the authority ofparagraph 3 of section 4 of the Act.7.3. The st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice referred to in section 7.2 shall bedeveloped on the recommendation of the Medical RadiationTechnology St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee.7.4. For the purposes of section 7.3, the College shall establish theMedical Radiation Technology St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee referred toin section 10 <strong>and</strong> shall appoint the membership of the MedicalRadiation Technology St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee, which shallinclude, at a minimum, one or more:a) members of the Council;b) members of the College (including practitioners <strong>and</strong>educators);c) persons who are not <strong>and</strong> have not been members of theCollege or of the Council; <strong>and</strong>d) members of the College of Physicians <strong>and</strong> Surgeons ofOntario, approved by the College of Physicians <strong>and</strong> Surgeonsof Ontario.7.5. The College shall post the following on its website:a) the st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice referred to in section 7.2; <strong>and</strong>b) a list of those members who are authorized to perform aprocedure under the authority of paragraph 3 of section 4 ofthe Act.7. That the title of Ontario Regulation 226/03 under the Medical RadiationTechnology Act, 1991 be changed to PRESCRIBED FORMS OF ENERGYAND PRESCRIBED PROCEDURES8. That section 1 of Ontario Regulation 226/03 under the Medical RadiationTechnology Act, 1991 be repealed <strong>and</strong> the following substituted:HPRAC Critical Links January 2009
