92Chapter 4 - Critical Links: Proposals for Implementation• to monitor each College’s efforts in serving <strong>and</strong> protecting the publicinterest <strong>and</strong> in achieving its objects;• to inform the public on matters relating to health profession regulation<strong>and</strong> the public’s rights <strong>and</strong> recourses associated with health professionregulation;• to establish criteria, rules <strong>and</strong> procedures that must be followed for thedesignation of a drug on the Drug List, <strong>and</strong> to publish those criteria, rules<strong>and</strong> procedures on its website <strong>and</strong> in any other format it considersadvisable;• to designate drugs on the Drug List for a regulated health profession,with any terms, limitations <strong>and</strong> conditions associated with those drugs,<strong>and</strong> to remove or modify those designations or terms, limitations orconditions from time to time;• to keep, maintain <strong>and</strong> publish the Drug List; <strong>and</strong>• to bring to the Minister’s attention any other matter that requiresgovernment action.Requirement to provide informationFor the purposes of fulfilling its general functions <strong>and</strong> duties under this Act,the Agency may require a Council to provide information other thanpersonal information to the Agency either in response to a specific request,or at regular intervals.Time <strong>and</strong> formThe Agency may specify the time at which <strong>and</strong> the form in which theinformation must be provided.Compliance requiredThe Council shall comply with every requirement to provide informationunder this section.Drug ListThe Agency shall keep, maintain <strong>and</strong> publish a Drug List.The Drug List shall set out,(a) the individual list of drugs that a health profession is authorized toadminister by injection or inhalation, prescribe, compound, dispenseor sell within the class of drugs authorized to the health professionunder the regulations made under its health profession Act;(b) the terms, limitations <strong>and</strong> conditions associated with those drugsfor the health profession; <strong>and</strong>(c) any other information or material the Agency considers necessaryor advisable.HPRAC Critical Links January 2009
