375Chapter 15 – Profession of PhysiotherapyPART IVSTANDARDS OF PRACTICE27. The College shall develop, establish <strong>and</strong> maintain st<strong>and</strong>ards ofpractice for those procedures performed under the authority ofparagraph 1, 2, 4, 6 <strong>and</strong> 7 of section 4 of the Act.28. The st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice referred to in section 27 shall bedeveloped, established <strong>and</strong> maintained on the recommendation ofthe Physiotherapy St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee.29. For the purposes of section 28, the College shall establish thePhysiotherapy St<strong>and</strong>ards Committee referred to in section 28 <strong>and</strong>shall appoint the membership of the Physiotherapy St<strong>and</strong>ardsCommittee, which shall include, at a minimum, one or more:a) members of the Council;b) members of the College (including practitioners <strong>and</strong>educators);c) persons who are not <strong>and</strong> have not been members of theCollege or of the Council;d) members of the College of Physicians <strong>and</strong> Surgeons ofOntario, approved by the College of Physicians <strong>and</strong> Surgeonsof Ontario;e) members of the College of Nurses of Ontario, approved by theCollege of Nurses of Ontario;f) members of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists,approved by the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists;<strong>and</strong>g) members of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists ofOntario, approved by the College of Medical RadiationTechnologists of Ontario.30. The College shall post the following on its website:a) the st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice referred to in section 27; <strong>and</strong>b) a list of those members, who are authorized to perform aprocedure under the authority of paragraph 2 of section 4.7. That Ontario Regulation 388/08 under the Physiotherapy Act, 1991(Professional Misconduct) be amended by adding the following sections:1.1 Exceeding the scope of practice of the profession.9.1 Administering oxygen, a drug or substance for an improperHPRAC Critical Links January 2009
