184Chapter 7 – Professions of Chiropody and Podiatry(a) antihistamines(b) anti-infective agents: antibacterials, antifungals, antivirals(c) CNS agents: general anaesthetics, analgesics andantipyretics, anxiolytics, sedatives, and hypnotics(d) emergency medications(e) hormones and synthetic substitutes: adrenals(f) local anaesthetics(g) sclerosing agents(h) skin and mucous membrane agents(i) vitamins(5) A member may only prescribe, dispense or sell those drugswithin the classes designated in subsection that are listed in theDrug List and must prescribe, dispense or use those listed drugsin accordance with the terms, limitations and conditionscontained in the Drug List.8. That section 1(4) of Ontario Regulation 750/93 under the ChiropodyAct, 1991 (Professional Misconduct) be repealed and the followingsubstituted:4. Delegating an act set out in paragraph 1 or 2 of subsection5(1) of the Act or paragraph 1, 2 or 3 of subsection 5(2) of theAct except as permitted by the Regulated Health ProfessionsAct, 1991 or the regulations made thereunder or under the Act,or delegating an act set out in paragraph 3 of subsection 5(1) orparagraph 1 or 4 of subsection 5(2) of the Act.9. That section 1(7) of Ontario Regulation 750/93 under the ChiropodyAct, 1991 (Professional Misconduct) be repealed and the followingsubstituted:7. Prescribing, dispensing, selling or administering a drug orsubstance for an improper purpose, or otherwise usingimproperly the authority to prescribe, dispense, sell oradminister drugs or substances.10. That Ontario Regulation 750/93 under the Chiropody Act, 1991(Professional Misconduct) be amended by adding the followingsections:1.1 Exceeding the scope of practice of the profession.8.1 Recommending or providing unnecessary services.HPRAC Critical Links January 2009
