408Chapter 18 – Summary of Proposals for ImplementationMeetingsThe Formulary Committee shall meet at least once a year <strong>and</strong> asrequested by the Agency.IdemThe Formulary Committee shall conduct its proceedings in themanner it considers appropriate.Other AdvisorsThe Formulary Committee may, from time to time, seek the advice ofother regulated health professionals when the Formulary Committeedeems such advice is required.Provision of AdviceThe Formulary Committee shall send a copy of its recommendationsto the Minister at the same time it sends its recommendations to theAgencyBest Practices6. That the Agency facilitate <strong>and</strong> support the development of acommon Code of Ethics by all of the Colleges that is applicable to allregulated health professionals. That, once developed, section 94(1)(k) of the <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Code be repealed <strong>and</strong>the common Code of Ethics be passed as a regulation made underthe Regulated <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Act, 1991.7. That the Agency facilitate <strong>and</strong> support the development of commonconflict of interest rules by all of the Colleges that are applicable to allregulated health professionals. That, once developed, section 95(1)(i) ofthe <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Code be repealed <strong>and</strong> the commonconflict of interest rules be passed as a regulation made under theRegulated <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Act, 1991.8. That the Agency facilitate <strong>and</strong> support the development of commonadvertising rules by all of the Colleges that are applicable to allregulated health professionals. That, once developed, section 95(1)(l) ofSchedule 2, <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Code be repealed <strong>and</strong> thecommon advertising rules be passed as a regulation made under theRegulated <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Act, 1991.St<strong>and</strong>ards of Practice9. That section 95(1)(n) of Schedule 2, <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Codebe repealed <strong>and</strong> the following substituted:95(1) Subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council <strong>and</strong>with prior review of the Minister, the Council may make regulationsprohibiting members from acting beyond the scope of practice of theHPRAC Critical Links January 2009
